Murray: Everything I Do On AGT Is The First Time I’m Doing It

Coin Magic Trick Blog mention:

It is refreshing to see some ENTERTAINING magic acts on America's Got Talent.

Murray Sawchuck is determined to win America’s Got Talent by employing a very unique strategy. Instead of trying to shoehorn tried and true bits from his act, he’s borrowing bigger and bigger props from connections around town and betting that he can get the performance good enough by air time. We’ve heard this from folks around Vegas, but this is the first time it’s been confirmed from the horses mouth.

Credit to Mike Weatherford for getting it on the record:

So Murray put away his card tricks and droll humor. “Everything I’m doing on the show, it’s the first time I’ve ever done it.” And that means “phoning a lot of friends.”

So far, he has borrowed a cabinet illusion, a magic car and a tiger.

Four magicians, not currently gigging, denied him warehoused car illusions he wanted to rework in his own style. It was Lance Burton and illusion builder Bill Smith who said yes. “One of the top magicians in Vegas was nice enough and secure enough to say ‘Sure.’ “

To say this is the most interesting season for magicians on America’s Got Talent for magicians is an understatement. We could not be more pumped for things to go forward.
